About the University

Why KMC?

Kathmandu Medical College (KMC), established in 1997, is a premier private medical institution permanently affiliated with Kathmandu University and fully recognized by the Medical Education Commission (MEC) of Nepal, the NMC (India), and the WHO.

Located in the capital city of Nepal, KMC offers an environment culturally and geographically identical to Northern India. The MBBS program is taught entirely in English, and the disease pattern studied during clinical rotations perfectly matches that of India, giving Indian students a significant advantage for the licensing exams.

KMC operates a massive multi-specialty teaching hospital that provides students with immediate, high-volume patient exposure. The university follows a strict, high-quality academic regimen making it one of the most sought-after destinations for medical aspirants in South Asia.
