About the University
Why DTMU?
David Tvildiani Medical University (DTMU), established in 1989, was the first non-governmental medical institution in Georgia. It has built a formidable reputation over decades for delivering high-quality medical education strictly aligned with US and European standards.
The university operates across two campuses—Tbilisi and Rustavi—and provides an excellent environment for international students. A standout feature of DTMU is its USMLE-oriented curriculum, making it highly preferred by students aiming to practice in the USA, India, or Europe.
DTMU is fully accredited by the NMC (India), WHO, and FAIMER. Its English-medium MD (MBBS equivalent) program ensures complete clinical competence through early hands-on exposure and advanced medical simulation centers.
